Friends forever, well for the duration anyway

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 4018

So Sir Josh and Lots42 became friends and decided to go celebrate with some fast food. Lots got some coupons and locked up his place, and off they went.

"I'm glad we became friends, Lots42," Josh declared as they strode down the street.

"Let's not be so formal. Just call me Lots."

Josh looked puzzled. "Okay," he said. "I figured I'd call you about once a week, but if that's what you want I'll call you every day!"

"No, I mean call me by the name of Lots. It's my first name."

"Oh, I thought it was your last name."

"Of corse not, then people would be calling me Mister Lots, wouldn't they?" He paused. "Incidentally, if you thought Lots was my last name, what did you think my first name was?"

"Came."

"Came Lots?"

"Exactly."

They walked on in silence. Then they walked off, still in silence. Walk on, walk off. It's the Walker!

They met an old homeless woman begging for food money, but they only had coupons, so they invited her along. Further down the street they passed a womanless old home, but it was sheduled for demolition, so they just walked on. Then they walked off. Walk on, walk off. It's the Walker!

They met a little dog and considered offering it some food too, but it only wanted to hump Sir Josh's leg, and so it was that Sir Josh was the first in that town to walk into a McDonald's with a small dog attached to his leg.

"You know," Just Call Me Lots remarked, "this is almost like the start of a new adventure!"

Josh replied...

  1. "Yes, it is exactly like the start of a new adventure!"
  2. "No, it isn't anything like the start of a new adventure!"
  3. "Adventures! Don't talk to me about adventures!"
  4. "Who cares? There's a little dog on my leg!"
  5. "Do you want fries with that?"
