"We've been heading north, into these woods that you can see illuminated by our fire. I brought us here so that I could build us a shelter for the night and have something to start a fire with. I didn't want us catching pneumonia from our wet clothes. In the morning we shall have to decide which is the most promising direction for us to take."

"Yes, there's no point in trying to decide that whilst it's still dark. Meanwhile, why don't you try to get some sleep whilst I keep watch? You carried me here, built the lean-to and the fire, and have been keeping watch since, so I'm not surprised that you look absolutely exhausted."

"Are you sure you're up to keeping watch? You were unconscious for several hours."

"Yes, I'm fine now, thank you. And my clothes have dried out quite well."
