The woman, Nester Letterbee, was a court magician from King Emry's
Fighting Squadron 103. She was six feet tall with corn-blonde hair, a
faint dusting of freckles and muscles out to Saturday. She had used a
Compulsion Spell to get Fred's attention so she could give him a mission
from the King.
The dragon's threat had been nuetralized and now Fred needed to travel to
the village-city of Casablanca to defend it from passing pirate-looters
who wanted the dragon's caverns and didn't mind looting a city as well.
Fred, of course, took the mission.
Nester waved her head, made the sign of a rabbit and Fred found himself
enveloped in the rare Misting Teleport Spell. He knew it would take him
safely to the city, but -where- was always a problem.
Fred found himself...
-
on a rooftop high above the city. How to get down?
-
two inches inside the open front gates. Two guards drew their swords.
-
in the Casablanca Animal-Men section of town. An elderly gazelle-woman peered at him.
-
inside some sort of 'water closet'. The smell was icky.
-
in a basement full of wine and caskets.
-
in the Casablanca High School gym during a dodge ball game.
-
in the Mayor's office. With the hugeness of Casablanca, this conveinent coincidence made Fred wary.
-
in the Casablanca Women's Archery Guard's locker room (there was a sign). Fred KNEW someone had it in for him. This was not safe.
-
in a small alley off the town square. And three pirates were charging into the square. Fred drew -his- sword and attacked the trio.
-
in the Casablanca Astronomy Center (telescopes having been invented last month).
