"Now arise, my brides!" Crucius said, "And go! Take all of Allaria in
your embrace and build for me my dead-alive army!" The three skeletal figures rose and stood before Crucius. Silently, they clasped their bony hands together and raised them to the sky. The necromancer began chanting, softly at first, then building to a near scream. Lightning bolts flashed from the clear blue sky, striking the ground around the three ghastly figures. The wind arose, howling its fury, and then there was a flash of light, and when it cleared, the trio was gone, leaving only Crucius, cackling with maniacal glee, alone on the island. As has been noted, transport spells can be quite complex to cast properly. Crucius was well aware of this, and had planned his spell for some time. Unfortunately for him, his excitement at the prospect of finally bringing his wicked plan to fruition had rendered the would-be conqueror a bit careless (if not outright addled, but that's a judgement perhaps best reserved for others). As a result, like Belboz, his transport spell did not function quite as intended. Rather than depositing the silk-clad skeletons in one of Allaria's larger cities, they had wound up:
