Despite being fired from the Watcher's Council no less then six days ago, I have decided to maintain the Watcher's Diaries. My charge, Buffy, has been embroiled in one mostrous encounter after another and even though I am no longer officially her Watcher, I will continue to maintain this book, as Watcher's Diaries have helped so many times before, with so many other Slayers. The most remarkable thing happened last night. A second vampire with a soul appeared. While the Council thought Angel was the only one, somehow this 'Josh Burbank' had escaped their attention. Normally, I would have...not that I would admit this to the others, slain Josh right away. But his appeareance was to save the lives of Willow, Xander and Cordelia. He destroyed three Grivlin demons, taking many severe injuries in order to make sure they were all destroyed. So I am torn. Another vampire with a soul can only lead to tears but he did kill three Grivlins...and, while this goes completely against all that is taught us, he saved the lives of three of the Slayer's friends and three people I care most deeply about. What am I to do? Josh is a powerful force for good. Even though he does, somehow, eat those deplorable Big Mac hamburgers in one bite."
