short, wiry 15-year-old boy who he recognized as his brother Jarlath!
"And over here," Jarlath was saying, "we have the entrance to our volcano power plant. Nothing in this tower runs on Magic, because all the spells that we practice here would disrupt its essence. So we run on electricity, powered from this volcano. We...what the hell?" He had just noticed Fred. "Not another person appearing out of nowhere!" He turned to the woman. "We've had a lot of those lately, and no one quite knows what to do about them." Fred realized that he was at the citadel of magicians where his brother was training, the tower of...tower of...what was it called again? Whatever it was called, it was worrying indeed that it could be accessed so easily from the Dragon's cave. Was there a traitor here? And who was this woman who Jarlath was showing around Jarlath then recognized him. "Fred! What on Earth are you doing here?" "I came in from the Dragon's caves," said Fred. "I have to talk to the head wizard here." Meanwhile, in the basement of the Tower of Ilxior, a man was watching Fredrigo from his scrying glass.
