"I have been preparing this mission for years. Of course I have some gear
for you!" Bytiros said. "First of all, you can take Boram with
you." "Who?" Fred asked. "This is Boram." Bytiros nodded at the huge Krath at his side. "His full name is Boram XVIII. He will stay by your side through all fears and help you the best he can. Will you not, my dear little savage beast?" Boram continued to growl at Fred. "I think I'll survive without him," Fred said, backing a few feet away. "Nonsense! You two will get along just fine," Bytiros said. "Now for your other gear. I have studied metallurgy for eleven years, and all this time I have been working on this one project." He opened a huge chest and took from it what appeared to be a sword wrapped in a red cloth. Bytiros unfolded it; Fred could see that the sheath was very old and tattered.
