Fortunately the boaters, a mix of animal types, were off the pot-loving
variety and weren't so keen on turning Stacy over to the local police. And
even then, the five women on board wouldn't have it. "A sister felt the need to run." said a tall, thin rabbit morph. "You gonna deny her instincts?" "Wha?" said Stacy, still disoritented and shivering. "Instincts, honey." the girl said, putting a paw on her shoulder. "Us animal types get it once in a while when we really concentrate. Besides, you had humans chasing you. We ain't down with that. They're supposed to announce themselves as police no matter who they are chasing it." One of the other women, a skunk-morph named Lee, was more on the ball and took Stacy down below. Clothes flew and warm blankets landed on her. In a couple of hours Stacy was back on her feet (paws) and talking eagerly with the others. Stacy kept it to herself but she learns, through careful conversational gambits, that animal morphs were treated like black people were in her world. Despite the incredible advantages the animal morphs had. Jealousy? But Stacy had been with her new friends for many hours and only pure luck had let her keep her amnesia secret. The plan was to continue boating up North and the girls would give her a ride to her house. Reveal her amnesia or not? She had time and the mind to think about it, all the others had put the pot out as soon as the drama had started.
