Velus to the Rescue?

Much had happened to Velus since he took the small corridor back in
episode 44, including getting transformed back into his rightful form of a
teenage boy. He even had his own clothes back, and he had also acquired a
magical torch.
Chance had now brought him to Astra and Ardua's cell in his search for his erstwhile companions. By the light of his torch he was able to see through the grille in the door that the two women were in peril. He recognised Astra of course, though Ardua was similar enough in appearance that for a moment he thought that he was seeing double, He naturally wanted to free them, but he had a number of problems to overcome: the women seemed to be unconscious; they were in a locked cell; the cell was half full of water (he did not know that the water was enchanted); and on top of all that they were chained to the wall. They were also naked, of course, but Velus didn't see that as a problem.
