Lord Fred and Sir Pik venture downwards to find the evil mage/dragon. The passageway is about twenty feet wide and smooth, due to the thin sheen of water that soaks their soles. It curls around on itself at a very oblique angle. Every twenty feet or so is a desperate and failed attempt to decorate the place. A statue of a famous god, a waterproofed painting, the skull of a demon-lord...Sir Pik becomes more afraid as they continue on. Soon a mess of lights and sounds greet them. The two douse their torches and inch forward. A large silvery, tubed, humanoid staute, the god of machines, provides a niche for them to hide behind. Once safely ensconed, Fred leans his head out to see what he could see. Sir Pik pokes just half his head out to view the scene. Their eyes flicker like bonfires. What's producing the confusing morass of sounds and lights?
