Time Passes

They had now (except for Alfred) been on the island for nineteen months. Their ragged garments had disintegrated even further (the armour hadn't disintegrated of course, but was too uncomfortable to wear for long in the hot and humid climate). Their attempts to make clothes out of the local plant life had not been a success.

Astra was now heavily pregnant with Velus's baby - or possibly babies, since she had a suspicion that she might be carrying twins.

1. Fred had got over his jealousy, and was on good terms with Velus and Astra again.
2. Fred had moved to the other end of the island to get away from the others.
3. Fred tried to kill Velus.
