Josh is laughed clear off the internet

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 37380

Josh sits up. He's in a dark room, filled with the musty smell of books.
A flickering forty watt lightbulb barely lights up twenty feet around him.
From the sound of the air conditioning, it is a very large room.
"Where am I?" Josh wonders. "Everything's...so...so intense!"
On a level just above subconscious Josh realizes he's moved to another plane of existence. He's always had twenty/twenty vision but even with the bad lightbulb everything is so much sharper. So clearer. It is as if he is seeing the DVD version of reality where the Staircase Room was a slightly out of focus VHS.
Josh gets up and barks his shin on a small box of Star Trek: Next Generation novels. Riker was on the cover, standing with Worf on the bridge. The title was 'Orginal Agonies', a typical generic, useless, pointless TNG novel title.
Josh shoves the box out of the way with his right foot.

  1. Explore the room.
  2. Stand there and ponder TNG novels some more.
  3. Belch.
  4. Wonder about the futillity of giving money to charity when so much pain abounds.
  5. Fondly remember the pretty female stranger who kissed him two new year's ago.
  6. Kick the box over.
  7. Josh is tackled by Dan Fogelbert.
  8. Josh reappears in the staircase room. The transitition to the lower plane temporarily makes him think he is Governor Arnold.
