Eventually, a mile or two further on from the keep, Sandra found a spot
where the pass narrowed, with high rock walls on either side. Fortunately
the orientation of the pass at this point was at almost ninety degrees to
the wind direction, so the spot was very well sheltered. It was still
cold, of course, but at least there wasn't any wind chill to worry about.
She got her sleeping bag out of her pack and settled down for the night.
Eventually she managed to get to sleep.
