Astra smiles. "Okay, you got me. I'm really a serving girl from Genua."
"That's better." said the Beast. "Wherever Genua is, obviously they know
all royalty was outlawed ten years ago after Prince Embargo ate a
puppy. "
Velus yelped. "That's awful." said Astra.
Fred shivered.

Suddenly, two men burst into the room with crossbows.

It turns out the Beast IS Prince Embargo. Fred realizes this when the Beast tugs his right ear, like Embargo did.

Fred finds some news scrolls on the desk. Turns out, Embargo also burned down orphanages for fun. But why would the Beast focus on a puppy, as horrible as it is?

Several men in white coats come in and tell the Beast to stop bothering the visitors. (Astra hides behind the desk when she hears footsteps).

Velus runs out of the room, howling like a madman. Maddog.

Something funny happens.

The Beast accidentally makes a rude noise. He flees, embarassed.

Fred remembers the ancient legends of how sometimes, a normal mother dog would turn humanoid when faced with tragedy. This implies much badness.

Velus protests. Prince Embargo had sent the beloved orginization, Mages Without Borders, to Velus' town, at great expense. Many lives were saved.

The Beast's mother comes in and tells him it is time for school, he can play with his talking toys later. (Oh boy).
