The concept of a novel was a new one for Andrea, but the lurid picture on the cover intrigued her. It showed a rather underdressed and very muscular warrior protecting an even more underdressed girl from an enormous black bat that had fangs dripping with blood.

Andrea:

  1. Couldn't resist starting to read the book.
  2. Looked up at the sky again and said: "That's all very well, but what about this alien invasion?"
  3. Noticed that the very underdressed girl shown on the cover looked remarkably like herself.
