Rami found herself wondering whether Tiffany could be an android rather than a human being. The general brevity of her answers, her tendency to repeat herself and her habit of answering a question with a question, were all a little reminiscent of an AI program simulating an obnoxious person with the object of trying to pass the Turing Test. And of course she had already met one cyborg in the caves. If there was one, then perhaps there was more than one.

"If you took off your dress, would I find that an android's control panel was hidden underneath it somewhere?" she asked.

Tiffany's response was:

1. "What's an android?" Of course, if this was really a medieval world then that was the expected answer.
2. "Yes."
3. "No."
4. Seeming totally unconcerned, as if doing so was the most natural thing in the world, she unbuttoned her dress and let it fall about her feet.
