"Dear," Fred 3 murmurs with a touch of sadness. "I think we already know the answer to that question."
"My Pack will help care and feed your analog's children....help your analogs," Carradene 2 says with a trace of pride. "I know this with my heart, for that is how the Pack is."
"Beyone that," Probe sighs, and shakes his head.
"I'm sorry, but even I can't help here," Dr. Vincent sighs. "My teleporation device, even if it had survived the transfer between universes, only had Fred 3's and Astra 3's 'signature' in them. I can't help your analogs, Astra....Astra 3."
Astra 3 looks like she wants to protest, but she finally nods. Even though she doesn't like it, sometimes no matter how hard you try......there is always some wrong that can't be righted. And folks, this looks like one of them!
The adventurers eat the meal that is soon served in silence, lost in various thoughts, when Dr. Vincent finally pipes up.
"What about the other Freds and Astras...the other analogs?" Dr. Vincent asks, curious.
"Frankly, you couldn't get them to go home with wild horses and a battering ram!" Astra 3 sighs, shaking her head. "Between the fact that both Astras's parents would disown her for having children out of wedlock and the fact that Aqualaria and Allaria will go to war because of the same fact IF it is ever learned. Both Astras are like me, we can't lie worth anything! The news would soon come out. As for Fred 1 and Fred 2, they aren't going to leave their children behind. As soon as somebody learned the true origins of those children, there'd be.....war."
"Duke Dredrick might be willing to go home," Fred 3 sighs. "But he's at least happy and consoled with the fact that at least either Fred 1 or Fred 2 are alive and well. And now he's a grandparent.......he might want to go back, but he's got something here to be happy with."
