"Man oh man, that was dumb!" Velus said. "Why'd you have to go and drink that milk? Now we're both animals!"

"Well what was I supposed to do, refuse?" Fred snapped. "That would be rude, and besides, I like milk. Hey... wait a minute - I can understand you!"

"Well of course." Velus said. "The real question is, what now?"

Velus started circling and sniffing Fred the Cat. "Stop that." Fred said irritably. "Animal or no, I still have a Quest. The Dragon must be vanquished!"

"Yeah right!" Velus laughed. "What are you gonna do, scratch his eyes out? Crush him with a really big hairball?"

"You're rather insouciant for a peasant lad." Fred remarked. "Don't forget I can have your land confiscated and family imprisoned with one flick of my tail!"

"I never told you where I lived." Velus grinned. "And if you ask me, it's pretty funny - the mighty Lord Fred, now a helpless little pussy-cat!"

"You take that back!" Fred bristled.

"Allright, I'm sorry, Your Lordship." Velus rolled his eyes. "But really, what do we do now?"

"Hmm." Fred said, licking his paws. "Well, the way I see it, we have three options..."

1. Sneak up on the old man while he sleeps, disable him, and then look for the cure.
2. Find the Dragon and slay him somehow - Fred and Velus would have the advantage of surprise.
3. Return to the King and see if his magicians can help them.
