"I ought really to get back to the King with my good news as quickly as
possible," Fred says in reply to your request. "Especially as he hinted
that whoever killed the Dragon might be given the hand of his daughter in
marriage."
"What's she got that I haven't got?" Astra pouts. Fred considers for a moment. It's true that Astra is also a princess and, even now that she has been restored to her original self, she is still prettier and notably more voluptuous than King Emry's daughter. And it doesn't hurt that it apparently hasn't occurred to her to ask for any clothes, nor do the elves appear to have thought of offering her any. Of course, their knowledge of human society is probably rather limited, living down here in the caves as they do, so perhaps they think that nudity is normal for princesses. On the other hand... "But you haven't offered me your hand in marriage," Fred points out. "But you aren't my type," you object. "Not you, you; I meant Astra!" "That's it!" Astra cries out in delight. "That's my name. I remember now. Look, Fred, I'm not prepared to marry you, but I'd be very grateful if you'd join us on the quest to find you's thing." "Well, all right," Fred says, "so long as it doesn't take too long." "What about you?" you ask Garith. "I'm afraid that my duties as leader of the elves won't permit it. So this is farewell." "Do you or your people have a sword that I can borrow?" Astra asks him. "The Dragon turned mine into rubber and I don't feel dressed without a weapon." "You can have this Butcher's Knife of Dragon Vanquishing," you say. "I shan't be needing it now the Dragon's dead."
