Plan of attack

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 3569

"The second part of the plan I came up with when you told me about how some early experimental animals from the.....20th century," Dr. Vincent looks nonplused at the date that won't roll around Terra's calendar for at least four hundred years. He coughs and continues, forcing past his befuddlement.

"See, it has to do with those pigs that you modified to produce insulin for diabetics and......." Dr. Vincent smiles a grim smile at the end of his solution. "Now, frankly I wouldn't have told you this if those memories of what those Lizard men had.....they were even PROUD of what they'd done.....at the place called Mirror 359!"

"Crashing an asteroid into a defenseless populated planet is one of many things they've done," Probe murmurs darkly. "They were the first memories I had when I 'Awoke.' Things like that are what haunts EVERY Alliance AI when they awaken."

"Born to war.....but hopefully we will finally have an end to it," Inquirer says, in a soft, longing voice.

"You see," Probe explains. "Even the most dogged Dog of War......tires of battle. This is probably going to be my last assignment, you see. Then, what I'll do, I'm not sure.

The mage sees very human looks of sadness in the Golem's human looking face, and the man shivers. These constructs are more 'human' than some of the humans he's met in his earlier years!

Probe and Inquirer gather themselves after the uncharacteristic blue funk they found themselves in, and then go back out of the shuttle craft. Dr. Vincent silently follows.

Later, in a banquet hall, the adventurers are seated at a large table. The numerous infants are being looked after by dozens of servants in the background.

The magical users look exhausted, for they had worn themselves out working their wonders upon the damaged Terra. They laugh as Inquirer finishes up her tale about the brassier that Probe had given Astra 3.

"At least you stopped her from wearing it outside of her clothes," Inquirer jokes, having been informed by Probe that for now.....they were off duty. "I only know of one female singer from the late 20th century who did that. Here, it's a bit too.....avant garde."

Probe is thankful that he's able to turn off his Avatar's facial expressions, for he's sure that his embarrassment would show through his reddening face.

"I'll bet it'll really catch on," Demifox Synizn laughs. "Our mechanical friends will go down in Terra's history as the creator of what every woman will eventually want. He'll be well off, financially.....if we ever do get to that point, again."

<Nice to know I'll be remembered for something.> Probe grouses to himself. <That and two dragons who feel they owe me a life of service for saving them. Dragon Synizn and Sigin.....I'm sure that the Creator is laughing at me right this microsec!>

  1. After the laughter dies (rather quickly, since the mages are still rather strung out from the drain of using five, Malchi Dronocis-Dragon Regent of Ethiopia-asks a rather....interesting question.
