Going Native

Taking advantage of the lush resources of the forest, Andrea puts together an ensemble more fitting for her current situation. She removes her boots and stretches her toes. She trades her dress and undergarments for a bamboo skirt that she quickly weaves together. With a sharp stone, she cuts her frilly corset into ribbons, and then uses these to ornament a pair of pig-tails that she braids on the sides of her head. Modesty prevents her from going bare-breasted, but a large sliced coconut and left- over corset tatters make an attractive, and functional, bra.

Finally, Andrea decides that henceforth she will be known as Mangoe.

Now prepared to explore the island, Mangoe ...

1. starts a fire on the beach to warm herself.
2. wanders into the jungle to seek shelter.
