The Thrifty Dragon

Zombies do not speak much, so while waiting, Fred looked at its clothes. At one point, these were the clothes of a knight, not those of a peasant, although they were threadbare now. The fashion was about fifty years out of date. The tunic had an emblem on it, representing the knight's coat-of-arms. This knight was apparently from one of the lesser kingdoms to the west of Fred's own, although he could not quite identify where. The tunic was slashed across the bottom revealing the zombie's belly, complete with the fatal wound from which the knight had died.

The dragon apparently recycled those who had died in the pit for future combat.

After Fred had finished his business, he turned to leave. He felt a heavy hand on his shoulder, and a voice rang out ...

1. "Lord Fred, you are wanted in the box of the master."
2. "Where is my tip?"
