The girl looked up. She looked to be about eleven and had short dark hair. Her eyes widened in astonishment at the sight of the naked warrior princess, and she stopped crying. "Who are you?" she asked.

"My name is Astra. It's a long story how I come to be here, which I'll maybe tell you later if we have time. And you would be...?"

"I'm Lucy. My family farms for the Dragon."

"I saw the farm. So what are you doing down here in the caves, all by yourself?"

"My cat chased a rat down here, and I came after her. But I haven't been able to find her."

"I'm sure that the cat will find its own way home, Lucy. They always do. But you should not be down here. This is a very dangerous place, even for adults. Let me escort you back to the surface."

1. Lucy consents.
2. Lucy refuses. She isn't going back without her cat.
