Josh recalls the whole terrifying ordeal years later, during a television interview on a popular prime-time show. He gains national attention and ends up with a whole heaping wad of cash. With the money he's now able to afford an expensive shrink who helps him deal with the trauma of that bloody day. It seems neither Fred nor ODS were adept at finishing the job, as Scott survives the ordeal as well. He never really takes his story to the public, and carries with him a fear of butcher knives until the end of his days.
