Fred and Astra Start to Explore the Pyramid

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 3391

Fred and Astra decided to take the dirty, crusty tunnel. It looked as though it was less used than the other, so the chance of running into someone might be less. They ruled out the thought of retreat. That would doom them to a miserable existence living in the jungle.

The tunnel led them gradually downwards, to somewhere deep in the heart of the mysterious pyramid. There was just enough light emitted from occasional slow-burning torches for them to see where they were going. Eventually:

  1. The tunnel opened out into a room.
  2. A figure loomed out of the near darkness. Astra readied her bo staff, whilst Fred regretted that they had been transported to the jungle before he could extract his sword from the corpse of the hellhound.
