Horrified by the thought of going back to the Staircase Room, and having
to deal with the twin horrors of Scott and Seinfeld, Josh decides
to try and jump the gap, and damn the consequences. So Josh tenses himself
up and leaps... ...only to fall short. However instead of plummeting to his doom as he expected, he landed heavily on an extremely solid stair, the impact knocking the breath out of him. Someone had gone to the bother of painting the staircase to make it look like a hole. Who would do such a thing?
