You see, while many folk had forgotten that Fred had previously died and
gone to Hell, Fred wasn't one of them - nor, he suspected, was Satan.
Although technically Fred had already served his eternal punishment
(which was to gain revenge on the King), he realised he had gotten off
extremely lightly, and it appeared to him not to be beyond the
realms of possibility that Lucifer was devising many more unpleasant
punishments for his eventual return. So it was that Fred had decided that the best way to avoid such a state was to redeem his sinful past and become a Man of God. Fred falls to his knees at the entrance to the caves, closes his eyes and joins his hands in prayer: "Oh God, you
are so huge, There is an immediate response, but not of the kind Fred had hoped for. The previously blue skies blacken with clouds, and a howling wind whips up out of nowhere. After a few seconds the heavens open and rain lashes down, while lightning bolts start to strike the ground nearby. Figuring he hasn't prayed hard enough, Fred presses his hands together ever tighter and continues: "You control the
skies There is a massive rumble of thunder and something tells Fred to move and move fast. He leaps to his feet and dives to the side just as the spot upon which he had been kneeling is hit by a massive bolt of electricity. "I wonder what I'm doing wrong?" Fred muses.
