Borrowing the TARDIS

"You'd think so, wouldn't you," the Wizard replied. "Even I don't really understand the Doctor's brand of magic, which he calls 'science'."

"What happened to this doctor?" Vela asked. "Where is he now?"

"It's a long story, which we don't have time for. Maybe later." With that, the Wizard closed the door behind them, and then walked over to a panel covered in lights and switches, and pressed a button. A large transparent cylinder behind the panel started going up and down, and there was a strange grinding noise, though this stopped after a few seconds. Before long, though, the grinding noise began again, before stopping a second time, and the movement of the cylinder slowed down and then stopped.

"We're there," the Wizard said.

"Where's there?" Fred asked.

"Right next to where Astra is chained up, if you indicated the location correctly to me on the map." The Wizard opened the door and the three of them stepped out.

1. And there, right in front of them, was Astra.
2. And there, right in front of them, was the Dragon! Oops!
3. And there, right in front of them, was the Empire State Building!! The Wizard's navigation, in time as well as in space, had been badly awry.
