Fred was running, running, running for his life, hearing the spectres
eating what they thought was him. Eventually, he comes to a split in the
path...
The spectres clubbed him. Hard. However, Fred had nerves of steel and faked being knocked out, waiting for a moment to escape. After he was in the pot and beginning to boil, the spectres had walked off... waiting for their precious meal. However, after many first degree burns, and Fred thinking that he was going to die, a man lifted up the lid and Fred sprang out and jumped. "Aren't you going to thank me for saving your life?" The man asked. Fred thought for a second, and replied, "Thanks!" He pushed the man into the pot, put down the lit, and ran for his life. Fred recognised the two seperate paths. Left would get him out of the caves and into safety, whereas right would lead him further into the cave and his quest.
