There was a lot of steam initially, but as All-Powerful Diety Fred quickly
ensured that this
dispersed. Meanwhile Princess Astra was enjoying her shower. State visits
to Allaria, like
the one that she was on, were always enjoyable thanks to the availability
of plentiful hot
water for showering. In Aqualaria, with more primitive plumbing, the
showers used cold
water. This was said to be character-forming, but Astra didn't believe it.
She was coming to realise that she had a strange gap in her memory of events shortly prior to her arrival at King Emry's castle in Caemlyn, little suspecting that this was as a result of Fred using his omnipotence to rescue her from Hell. He had initially told himself that, having restored Astra to the living, he was entitled to spy on her. But after a few minutes, the code of chivalry that he had learnt as a boy reasserted itself, and he stopped looking.
