George suggested that they could think by the waterfall. The creatures tried the wine, and found out why the owner was willing to give Edain and Geomi a good deal on it. Adar wanted to pour it into the stables to try to cut though the filth, so they all agreed to carry the casks with them. All of them agreed that the pavillions were beautiful, and wished that Edain had had more time to gather a worthy orchestra. Sadly, none of them knew how to play any instruments, but they agreed that if Edain could do nothing else, they would all sing for him. But where were they going to get lights? The roar of the waterfall, the soft grass, and the warm summer evening lulled the creatures to sleep, each using the gift of reason to try to find a way to solve the difficult problems in two days. George was awakened by a crunching noise that did not blend into the roar of the waterfall. He slowly rose from the grass, half expecting some fierce animal to spring on him. He saw nothing, except for his four companions. Three were asleep. Draco was stirring, and he whispered, "Did you hear it, too?" George nodded. The noise appeared to be coming from the place where they set the casks of cheap wine. Suddenly George understood that a piece of the sky had been blacked out. Someone huge was there! He stuttered quietly, "Dr - dr -- draco. What ...." "Ethylwhyte! He's picking up ... one of those casks. Get behind a rock or something." "I'll go back and wake the others!" George walked as carefully and quickly back to the other creatures. They were awake but groggy. "The giant is here! Hide!" The four stirred around, looking for a hiding place that was not there, when they heard a giant splashing sound coming from the waterfall.
