Freds?" "There are other Freds. They all started as one, one Fred who was given the task of slaying the Dragon. Then choices appear in the Extend-a-story, and as readers and writers make different choices, different stories develop, most containing Fred, but different Freds who followed different paths. The one who died earlier was not a Fred who met an Astra, so that was why he didn't know you." "There are other Astras?!" Astra was shocked. "Yes, you're a main character in the Extend-a-Story, so as different readers and writers write different storylines and make different choices, more and more of you are created and developed." The fact that she was not unique, but was one of many, was uncomfortable to Astra.
