Andrea in a Tight Spot

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 31529

Some very good things had happened to Andrea over the last few days. She was now clean, well fed and reasonably fit. However, she reflected, that did not altogether compensate for the fact that she was now lying naked on an altar in a secret crypt underneath the shelter, about to be sacrificed by the nuns to Jeff, the Demon Lord, whoever he might be. (She was far from home, and thus unfamiliar with the local cults.)

She should have suspected something, she realised now, when the nuns had ignored all her requests that they should cut her hair. Apparently having long hair made her a better sacrifice for some reason.

The head nun prepared herself to strike at Andrea's heart with the long, sharp dagger that was in her hand. Andrea had to do something within the next few seconds if her life was not to come to a bloody end.

  1. She had been working secretly at the ropes that tied her to the altar. Now she was able to break free and, taking the nuns by surprise, make a run for it.
  2. "Excuse me," she said, "but aren't sacrifices supposed to be virgins? Well, I'm not one." (This might or might not be true.)
