A Question of Women's Rights

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 31363

The dragon bared its teeth in what might have been intended as a smile. "I am not a cruel dragon, Lord Frederigo. I do not kill the knights who fail. I use my magic to remove all the aggression from their natures, so that they will no longer be any threat to me and can become my servants."

"What about Princess Astra?" Fred asked. She still stood by the altar, motionless. She had stopped reciting from the book, but seemed to be in a trance.

"Oh, she will be my servant too," the dragon said off-handedly. "In fact, effectively she already is, as you have seen, if not exactly willingly."

"Without having taken the Test? That hardly seems fair."

"But the Test is for knights," the dragon pointed out. "She doesn't qualify."

"But she's as brave and noble as any knight."

  1. "That's irrelevant," the dragon said. He was apparently something of a male chauvinist.
  2. "I suppose you're right. Very well, she may take the Test as well."
  3. "You're just playing for time, Lord Frederigo. Enough about the princess. Answer my question."
