Emry leads Fred to a smaller, cozy room. It is lined with mahogony-framed
paintings of old queens and young kings. A fire crackles. Incense on the
mantleplace seeds the room with a nice scent. Several small windows look
over a steep hill leading down to a wide beach where soldier's children
play. Emry offers tea and crumpets. Fred politely declines and they get down to talking. To provide ambience, a violin player stands just out of sight behind one of the doors. Lord Fred pleads with King Emry. Why the hatred against weres?
