The dry goods pantry was circular, about thirty feet wide. Light came from
a lantern hanging from the exact middle of the ceiling. A simple wide door
stood on the far side, identical to the door she came through. Thick,
wooden shelves, treated with preserving chemicals, lined the walls on all
sides. They had been crafted to fit with the curves of the wall with nary
a break. They were painted dark brown and even had decorative edging. All sorts of food, everything from canned yams to potatos to sugar, filled the shelves. Even the rear of both had hanging shelves stocked with light items, such as spices or candy bags. Stacy was hungry. She quickly snapped down two carrots, leaves and all.
