Fred studied the slightly pockmarked, but otherwise comely face of the damsel in the woodcut. She wore an elegant dress, a string of pearls, and a high conical hat with a diaphonous piece of fabric depending from the tip. The woodcut conveyed the aura of a distinguished lady.

Fred read the short paragraph underneath.

"Julia, 24, of the city of Penn, aims to please. Descended from the noble house of Gothenberg, her father was attained for treason by King Emry. Although she is technically no longer a gentlewoman, her wit, education, and good sense come in handy in her new career as a hostess for hire. Julia's hobbies are cooking, alchemy, and falconry. Conversant in three languages, Julia is the perfect hostess for the weekend banquet or small tournament for an up-and-coming knight. Julia's speciality is getting guests to leave, happily if possible, but above all, quickly. "Ah, Julia. I wondered what happened to you. A pleasant soul, in bitter circumstances. I am not sure whether the gossip about her employing poison is true or not - she seems like such a nice person."
