In Which Fred discusses with the dragon what to do

Fred nodded. "I've been brought up to be honorable. Take me out of these
caves and we will tell the king what has happened."
The dragon was taken aback, then told Fred to get on his back. When he
had, they took off and sped through the sky, having popped out of the top
of the mountain.
The dragon seemed to know where to go, and within minutes had landed on
the gardens of the palace.
Then, a guard jumped out and thrust his halberd at the dragon...
