Miss Astra leaves the room and closes the door. Fred stews in his seat
and looks at the map in front of him. He has seen maps before, but always
has problems with the concept of scale. Chelsea points to California. "Do you see this Fred? This is where you are." The approach made little sense to him as he didn't care where he was, only that he was in a chair with a girl trying to show him a map that was stupid. Stupid. He liked the word. "Stupid," he giggled. Chelsea was taken aback. She she rolled up a paper she had in her hand and bopped Fred on the head with it. "MISS ASTRA!!" cried Fred loudly. Soon after Miss Astra appeared at the door. She looked at Chelsea who shrugged her shoulders as if not to know. "Chelsea," said Astra, "come along." Chelsea got up and followed Miss Astra. At the door she turned back and looked at Fred. And, glancing up to make certain Miss Astra wasn't looking, she stuck her tongue out at Fred, turned, and left. Fred was angry, but didn't say anything. How dare she bop him! For several weeks it tormented him. He finally decided that he would have to bop her back. He didn't know where she was, or how to find her, but expected that she lived beyond the low wall that skirted his home. He had to get out and bop her. Then he would stick out his tongue and say "Nanny nanny!" Fred giggled.
