Southern Caves Empty

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 3036

"It is regrettable that the dragon was not located in the Southern Caves, Lord Fred." the king said as hundreds of court hanger-ons watched. "But we have recieved reports of the dragon being spotted in the ruins of Gilliam."
"Have no fear, my leige." Lord Fred said. "I can be ready in an hour and there in a day."

A day and an hour later...
Lord Fred stood in front of a tall gate. It was the entrance way to mead hall large then the castle. But the roof had gone and so had most of the walls. Inside was a virtual maze of passageways. Light from a cloud-covered sky cast the entire scene with a dreary blue haze. And this was just the smalles to the buildings.

Lord Fred strode inside, his sword high. Ahead of him was dark wall, overgrown with vines. To the right, a set of stairs led down into a mostly intact sitting room. To the left, a passage way curved up and away. To what, Fred could not see.
