Fred finds a naked princess named Ember. She was from a land far to the
west, known only by legend and sorcery and really tasy magical birds that
came to Fred's homeland on a migration pattern. Ember was six feet, two inches, small chest, good birthing hips, had hair the color of her namesake, scars up and down her right leg and held the legendary sword of Goodwill. Fred had held Goodwill. Most knights had. It was a High Class Magic Sword, that tended to appear to adventurers when they honestly and truly could not get a weapon of their own. Fred introduced himself. He gave Ember his sleeping roll, which was magically protected against moisture. But not the sword. In moments, it became a crop top and a long dress. Fred did not see exactly how but it was perefectly servicable. If they got out of here, he would ask her how to learn her skills. Not that he wanted to wear dresses (not anymore), just that it could be turned into survival skills for the entire kingdom. Ember accepted Fred as a companion, especially since Goodwill did not glow red in his presence. (That was a bit of a downside to the sword, more then one person had gotten into trouble when the enemy had spotted a nearby red glow). Fred wanted to take Ember back to the king but she would have none of it. She had been kidnapped from a long-range hiking/surverying trip with her friends and one of them had died trying to rescue her. The dragon would die and that was that. Fred...
