The Never Ending Quest - Episode 293

Fred and Velus hurried back into the caves and found their way to where
they had left Astra. She was still there, chained to the wall, but there
had been a change in her. Instead of nails, her fingers and toes now ended
in formidable claws.
"Princess! What has happened to you?!" Fred asked. "The dragon paid me another visit while you were gone. He said we'd play a little game. If I won, then he'd free me, whilst if he won I'd have to pay a forfeit. Of course, the game was rigged so that I never had a chance of winning. When I lost, the dragon said: 'Do you know what a subordinate clause is?' So of course I said I did. Then he said: 'Well, try these subordinate claws.' Then he transformed me, laughed and went away." "I'm sorry," Fred said. "We found the Wizard of Kamiro. He wouldn't come with us, but he changed Velus back, as you can see, and gave me some powder that should dissolve your chains, and some clothes and a sword for you." "So what are you waiting for? Apply the powder to my chains." So Fred did so.
