the Thinge at the Door

"Uh, yeah," mumbled Andrea wondering if she had suddenly been transported to the Abode of the Idiotic Wonders (the AIW to those in the know).

She finally reached the tunnel she hoped was the correct one and saw that it was sealed with a door, a silver door adorned with red rubies. It was rusty and dusty so Andrea knew it hadn't been used in some time. With a huff she placed her dainty shoulders against the door (it had no knob you see) and thrust with all the power of her feminine frame. With her thighs and calves thrusting and with a rasping screech of rusty hinges the door moved a little.

"Wooo!" said Andrea wiping the sweat from off her forehead. "Wish I had that golden dischcloth right now just to wipe the glisten from off my face!" She stared at the door, it was ajar. Just a tad. Only a bit. Not enough for her to enter. And she was already tired. ~~quests aren't supposed to have inconveniently heavy doors!~~ she muttered.

Then she felt something cold on her foot. On looking down she saw the longest worm she had ever seen, it was longer than the length between both her hands! And the worm was... well, wrong... in place of smooth revolting bulbuous flesh that squirmed and writhed it had a hard scaley plate that squirmed and writhed and it had legs! Lots of them! Probably a hundred of them! And on its head it had antennae and a mouth and it smiled!!! "Hey there, baby!" it said in a gurglish fleshy wormy kinda way...this was the spookiest thinge she had seen since endeavoring to fulfill her quest!

"EEEEEEEEEEK!" screamed Andrea and she:

1. ran back down to the monster with tentacles...
2. ran to the third tunnel not caring what might be there....
3. ran back to the first side tunnel hoping no door would bar her way....
4. just kept on screaming.....
5. kicked that thinge off her foot as hard as she could....
