Doctor Who and the High School of Death!

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 28648

The heroes entered through the door. On the other side, they found themselves in a blank room with grey walls and tile flooring and no apparent exit.

"Welcome, new students, to William Shatner Memorial High School," said calm and mechanical-sounding female voice that reminded Time Warrior, Knight Random, and Ragan of Majel Barret. "After you have been scanned for violations, you will report to the principle's office to be processed and recieve your schedule. Failure to do so will insure certain death."

"Well, you're certainly polite, whoever you are," said the Doctor.

"Comment ignored. Scan beginning," said the computer. "Scanning for controlled substance violations." A beam of green light appeared on the ceiling and moved slowly down to the floor, covering everyone. "No violations found. Scanning for weapons violations." The light turned from green to yellow as it touched the Master's Death Ray. "Weaponlike objects are not allowed in school. The object will be confiscated until further notice. Student #10791, this is your first warning." The Death Ray vanished. Oddly enough, the computer didn't do anything about TW's and KR's swords.

"You idiot computer!" shouted the Master. "Give me back my MGHMGHNGTH!" The Doctor had covered the Master's mouth before he could say anything more.

"Shhh," whispered the Doctor. "You're very lucky the computer didn't consider it an actual weapon, although I can't fathom why."

"Well, it certainly doesn't look like one," commented Ragan.

"I'm not surprised at all that it made a mistake," whispered TW. "If these computers are like the ones at my school, they'll almost never work."

"Weapons scan complete. Scanning for dress code violations." Everyone looked simultaneously and nervously at Dayanara. "We're dead," whispered TW.

"Not necessarily," whispered KR. "I've had more experience with school dress codes, because my school instituted one between your being taken out of reality and mine. They're mainly concerned about midriff baring, cleavage, and tank tops. This outfit is very skintight, and it shows her curves quite well, but it's a jumpsuit. Most people don't wear things like that in school. The computer seems very rigid and won't be prepared for it." He felt a bit embarrassed after making the last comment (although of course once he had an idea in his head no amount of embarrassment would stop him from stating it), as she was within hearing range. He looked over at her. "I'm sorry--I hope you don't think that comment was too, you know..."

Dayanara smiled at him. "Do not worry. It does not matter to me what people think of this body. It is not my real one, anyway."

"Maybe I should join the multiverse patrol," said TW. "I'm in the midst of PE right now. I wish I could change my body."

"What's... PE?" said Dayanara, confused.

Ragan shrugged. "Institutionalized torture."

The scan beam at first traveled over the jump suit without changing. However, it reached a small hole in the area of the midriff which had apparently been ripped during her earlier battle. "Dress code violation detected. Ripped clothing is not allowed in school. Amending violation." There was a flash of light, in which a tantalizing glimpse of her nakedness was revealed (during which KR looked in the opposite direction and TW's eyes were rivited), and once it subsided she was wearing several layers of winter clothing. "Student #10793, this is your penultimate warning. If you committ another violation, you will be terminated." The beam then reached the floor. "Scan complete. You will now report to the office. General warning: The library is currently off-limits due to chaos events. Entry into the library will result in probable injury and death." Six beams of white light (what the Doctor would probably call "transmat beams") descended from the ceiling, and the room seemed to fade away.
