The elf's name was Deema. She was surly, bruised, dirty and angry. Fred
had heard of her before, when she had saved the world from an infestation
of Nepusian Brain Worms. (The worms came from another dimension). The other woman was named Stacy. She was Deema's colloge sorority sister and had sought Deema out in order to place the power rod where it would do no harm. Basically, in the skull of a dragon. The rod had all sorts of effects (mainly to make the plot easier), including a few harmful ones. Mainly, the urge to blast the innocent. Thankfully, Fred and Deema weren't so innocent (especially not after three or four beers) so Stacy felt no urge to blast them. The three agree to team up since their goals coincided. But where to go from here?
