"Fred, this is Brightwind," Cetal said, leading Fred to his stable. "I
have kept him here ever since he came to me through a magic portal I
opened two years ago. My efforts to send him home were unsuccessful.
However, he is loyal and brave, and he is your only hope if you are to
enter the Flying Monastery."
The horse was a dazzling creature of purest white, with wide, majestic wings and a broad, proud chest. Fred bowed reverently to it. "I am honored to make your acquaintance, O Brightwind," he said. There was an uncomfortable pause. "Um...it doesn't talk or anything," Cetal coughed. "It's just a flying horse." "Oh. Right." In due time, Fred mounted the steed and they were airborne. Brightwind flew swift and straight to where the ominous Monastery floated recklessly over the landscape. It cast a dark shadow over the land as it passed. Brightwind brought Fred close enough to examine it. On its front face was a large wooden door. To one side, another door could be seen, much smaller. There was also a chimney on the roof.
