Checkers looks doubtful for a moment. She isn't yet sure whether she can
trust these newcomers. However the healing spell that Belboz has just
performed on Fred had required a little bit of his blood, so that is not
an option for her as it goes against Glider beliefs. Perhaps she should
just wait for nature to take its course, and let her wing heal naturally?
After all, it's not as though she envisages any need to fly in the
immediate future.
Then, to the slight surprise of a few of the Champions, Belboz says: "I see that you are hesitating, Checkers, but I think that it would be a good idea. I don't have enough of the necessary herbs to treat you too, and I am sure that we can trust these newcomers." He wants to learn as much as he can about Jenny's magical abilities. He feels that it could become important later on. "It won't involve taking any of my blood, will it?" Checkers asks. "That would be against my beliefs." "No, nothing like that," Jenny assures her.
