Astra quickly made three new friends. Analise, a former mercenary who
converted after a brutal war in Hespan. She was six feet tall, flat as a
board and held a side job as a juggler for local towns. (She was so good
cops had to be hired for her performances because of crowds). Lana had ran
away from home to escape a betrothal to an insane magician named Clark
Kent. Lana wore formal clothing all the time and was the accountant for
the monks. Sandy, a fifteen year old orphan with hair redder then Astra's,
had been raised by the monks. She also had published several historical
fiction articles in some of the bigger cities. She liked to dress in dark,
depressing blacks and odd, pale makeup.
