"Do I have to explain everything?" the Wizard asked testily. "With triple strength, you ought to be able to pull her chains away from where they are fixed to the wall, even if their magic means that you can't break the chains themselves."

"Ah, I see," Fred said. "Well, I'll put on the belt then, and we'll be off."

"Can't I wear the belt?" Vela asked.

"But your strength when tripled wouldn't be as much as mine when tripled," Fred pointed out.
