"Whoa," said Sir Lots the 42nd. "Anyone got the permit number of that
cart?"
No one in the tavern gave Sir Lots a second look (lots of first looks, but not a second). Meanwhile the group of assasins (or as they preferred to be called the Assasinators) were shooshing each other on the third floor above Sir Lots' head. "Whadya mean he ain't dead?" "I mean wha' I mean, whadya mean da mean dat I don' mean da say wha' I mean, ya meanie!" "Shudya-up, da botha ya," said a third conspirator. "We took all dis time, we spent our bronze, bought da rat dat pulled da rope dat hefted da harp--" "Don't forget the cheese, Boss, the cheese," interrupted a fourth would-be assasin. "Dat's right!" said the Boss hitting that conspirator in the forehead. "We bought da cheese dat tempted da rat dat pulled da rope dat hefted da harp dat should kilt da man downstairs!" "Shoulda, woulda, coulda!" quipped the first conspirator. The group looked at him. "Wha' does dat mean?" they asked. "Uh, I don' know, is just someting I heard the schoolboys say..."
